Green Up has stepped up to help keep household batteries out of Ontario landfills. You can now recycle single-use and rechargeable batteries for free at this location during operating hours.

You Can Recycle*

  • Single-use Batteries
  • Rechargeable Batteries

* Batteries must weigh 5 kilograms or less and cannot be embedded in a device

Please remember that some batteries require tape on the terminals:

  • Any battery with the word "lithium" on it
  • Rechargeable batteries
  • 9 volt batteries
  • 6 volt batteries
  • Button cell batteries
